2022 Fundraiser!

We need to raise $35,000 by the end of the year and need your support!

We have expanded our Holter project and have a brand new cystinuria project, which we are very excited about. But to keep both moving forward for the next year or two we need to raise some money, so we are asking for your generous support.

There are three ways you can help us reach our goal:

Our biggest auction ever is live now on Facebook from now until the last item closes on November 17: Here is the link.

We’ve gotten more than 90(!) amazing contributions from our members, artists, craftspeople, and friends of the breed. Auction closings will be staggered every ten minutes on the evenings of November 14, 15, 16 and 17. You can find each item’s closing date and time listed in the item description.

To bid, please put your bids in the comments section under each item and follow instructions as to the minimum bid and the bidding increments. Please bid early and often!

If you are not on Facebook, you can still use that link to see all of the items. If you would like to bid, please contact us so we can help you arrange for a proxy bidder.

Payments can be made by PayPal, Zelle, or by check (drawn on US banks only). Postage will be paid by the buyer directly to the donor or contact for the item.

Direct Donations

We are also gratefully accepting direct donations—all donations received by the end of the year will be counted towards our goal.

If you want to pay via PayPal, credit card, or check, please use these links:

Click here if you want to make a general contribution to the fundraiser or want to make a donation to the cystinuria project (just put a note that you want your donation to go to the cystinuria project).

We are now also taking Zelle. Donations can be made to this email address, and please send this email to Mark Rasmussen, our treasurer, to let him know it is coming. You can also put a note on the donation, but one way or another, please let him know what this donation is for.

Please note that donations are not tax-deductible.

Clothing design

We are once again offering a selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts! Back by popular demand, Aaron Coberly once again painted a gorgeous watercolor (the painting itself is in the auction—see it here) that we are using for our design. The clothing will be available in the SDCA Store in a couple of weeks (after the auction is over).

About the Projects

The Holter Project is accepting dogs right now—if you have a dog 4 years of age or older, please sign them up! Learn more about this project here.

We will be posting the new cystinuria project in a few days.

With your help, we can learn a ton about these two diseases, which affect so many Deerhounds. Many thanks in advance for your support!
