As part of the new SDCA main website (deerhound.org), we were asked to write an overview of Deerhound health problems. Introducing the “Deerhound Health 101” article, which can be found both on this site and the SDCA main website. We hope this will be a resource to people researching the breed, new Deerhound owners, and for breeders to give to their puppy buyers.

The article includes the basics on the health issues particular to the breed, health testing, and useful links.
