We worked with Dr. Michael Court on his research on anesthesia sensitivities in sighthounds for years, but Dr. Court has now retired. If you have a Deerhound that experienced a slow recovery or other reaction to anesthesia, please bank your dog’s DNA (cheek swab is fine) in our CHIC DNA Bank in case another researcher gets interested in this subject. Don’t forget to list the specific anesthesia sensitivity on the accompanying health survey.
