Although no research is currently being done on the genetic basis in Deerhounds of chronic or recurrent pneumonia, if you have an affected dog, please bank a DNA sample in the CHIC DNA Bank so we’ll be ready with samples (researchers need about 20 just to get started) when we do find a researcher interested in working on this problem. Be sure to indicate chronic/recurrent pneumonia in the health information.
