We are starting to collect information on Deerhounds that have pneumonia, especially recurrent or chronic pneumonia. Learn more about this project here.
If you have an affected dog, please bank a DNA sample (cheek swabs are fine) in the CHIC DNA Bank so we’ll be ready with samples (researchers need about 20 just to get started) when we do find a researcher interested in working on this problem. Be sure to indicate chronic/recurrent pneumonia in the health information.
