SDCA CODE OF ETHICS HEALTH TESTING

Breeders should provide the following to buyers for every dog/puppy sold:

GENETIC TEST RESULTS OR STATUS:

  • FVII Deficiency (Factor VII deficiency)
  • DEPOHGENâ„¢ (Delayed Postoperative Hemorrhage Syndrome). 

HEALTH SCREENING TEST RESULTS: 

  • Postprandial Bile Acids Test (for liver shunt)
  • Cardiac: Echocardiogram results for breeding stock (congenital and acquired heart disorders)
  • AND Veterinarian auscultation (detection of heart murmurs present at birth) for dogs/puppies sold.
